October’s Mudgeeraba Music Muster has announced it’s first headline artist, with the Round Mountain Girls hitting the stage for Sunday’s main event.

The Mudgeeraba Music Muster is being held over the week of the 15th to the 20th October this year, with big and small acts playing at venues throughout Mudgeeraba Village and surrounding areas each night, culminating in the main event on Sunday in the Village Centre.

The Round Mountain Girls recently won a 2013 Golden Fiddle Award at Tamworth and are known for their thrilling live show delivered with a rare and genuine passion and joy.round Mountain Girls

The City of Gold Coast is the key sponsor for the event, partnering with the local Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce, to drive the Muster amongst a series of new and revitalised community events in the area.

Mudgeeraba Councillor, Glenn Tozer, was excited to make the announcement.

“The Round Mountain Girls have an infectious bunch of songs, I’m told, but what I like most is their commitment to having a good time, which aligns so well with our plans for the Mudgeeraba Muster

“It’s going to be a big week for us, with hundreds of NetFest fanatics in Firth Park that week and each night a different act playing in the Village. I can’t wait to see our precinct come alive with great music and locals and visitors alike enjoying our country hospitality”

Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce President and local Bank of QLD Owner/Manager, John Forrester, said final plans were being laid to ensure the event was a success.

“It’s great to see the community coming together behind this event. The Muster is going to be an excellent addition to the calendar for business and for the community”

Further artist announcements are expected in the coming weeks as discussions finalise with key emerging artists and several headline acts.

Limited sponsorship opportunities still exist for the event but enquiries are welcome.
