Future-Focused…

We’ve come a long way since 2012, but there is still much to do. We’re proud of our achievements, but here is a future-focused list of priorities we’re working towards delivering in 2024 and beyond.

Upgrading roads and pathways nearby local public schools to ensure safety.

A long term strategic development plan for an expanded Firth Park sports precinct, delivering AFL & Cricket as well as expanded skatepark, bmx, baseball and netball facilities

Ongoing delivery of the 20 year strategic plan for the Mudgeeraba Show Society and Showgrounds.

Connecting the small neighbourhood centre in Gilston to the suburban areas via pathways and delivering improvements to Peter Mills Park.

Improved pedestrian facilities and parks facilities in Reedy Creek, particularly around schools.

Responsible and sustainable development at Skyridge in Worongary.

Better bushfire preparedness and awareness of our natural areas.

A Gold Coast Equestrian Centre or equivalent facilities in the city.

Ever-improving public relationships with local private schools on their community events and programs.

A Gold Coast Science and Technology Centre in the Health & Knowledge Precinct.

Improved facilities and programs for dog owners.

More efficient and environmentally sensitive energy solutions for the city.

Disaster resilience improvements to our more isolated hinterland communities.

Improved Mountain Biking facilities and awareness for community and tourism.

“Since 2012, I’ve served Mudgeeraba, Highland Park and the Hinterland with passionate advocacy, and I’m committed as ever to listening carefully to the needs of the community.”
