#50Days50Ways - #13 - Supporting local businesses

Late last year my office was involved with a fun #BuyLocal campaign that was led by Danielle from Earthly Essentials - Crystal Shop Mudgeeraba in the village.

Danielle, a Community Hero Award winner, had the idea of getting a group of local businesses together to offer incentives to shoppers to do their #Christmas shopping here in #Mudgeeraba rather than going to places like Robina Town Centre.

In the end, 10 local Mudgeeraba businesses came together and donated a prize pool worth over $600 to one lucky winner. This campaign saw over $20,000 (!!!) spent at these shops, not to mention the extra spending at local cafes and eateries.

You can see a breakdown of the campaign above, as well as a picture of a range of products Courtney from my office bought from local Division 9 shops for Christmas last year (below). I actually bought a few sneaky gifts for family too, but wasn't sharp enough to take a picture... Courtney is very clever!

I am always happy to give shout outs to local Division 9 businesses via my social media or online newsletter. We can continue this support if you #Vote1Tozer throughout March during pre-polling on on election day on March 16.

Please reach out if you’d like us to feature you and your business!

And remember to #buylocal and #supportsmallbusinessowners
